Daniel Schönherr is a social scientist from Vienna working for the SORA institute. Initially hesitant to work with numbers, he studied comparative literature. For the last 10 years now, he has been conducting studies on social inequalities, unemployment, discrimination and job quality in Austria. “Social science shouldn’t be done as an end to itself. Ideally, it helps other people and gives them a voice. That’s what the WE-Project is all about: helping young LBGTIQs to learn about their rights, to defend themselves against discrimination and to fight back.”
